Yakima Valley’s newest event offers an intimate tasting with your favorite winemaker. Enjoy an exclusive vertical tasting of library wines, current vintages and barrel samples from your favorite winery during Spring Barrel Tasting, April 27, 28, 2019.
This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy Yakima Valley’s Spring Barrel Tasting festivities without the crowds. Ten winemakers have reserved space in their Reserve room, library, or barrel room exclusively for Winemaker’s Table guests. Each winemaker has personally selected a vertical of their best wines. Learn the history, nuances, and stories of each wine in an intimate seated tasting.
In addition to these smaller more intimate tasting experiences, your Winemaker’s Table ticket will be honored as a Premier Pass to all participating wineries for the duration of the event weekend.
Wineries will hold regular seated tastings and welcome you upon arrival. Once you purchase your ticket, you will have the opportunity to create your itinerary.
Winemaker’s Table Seating times:
Saturday April 27, 2018: Every two hours between 10:00am – 4:00pm
Sunday April 28, 2018: Every two hours between 10:00am – 4:00pm
Tickets are limited.
Weekend tickets $75.00 per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Co Dinn Cellars – Taste a vertical of Elephant Mountain Red Wine (Bordeaux varietal blend) 2015-2018 with winemaker and owner Co Dinn.
Cote Bônneville Winery – Winemaker Kerry Shiels will be showcasing Cote Bônneville Syrah. The vertical tasting includes a barrel sample, current release, and a bottle from the Côte Bonneville wine library. Wine Club members are welcome to participate at no additional cost. Gilbert Cellars – Winemaker Justin Neufeld will be pouring through their library collection of Bordeaux Reserves from the beginning of Gilbert Cellars opening in 2007, 2009, 2013, and 2014. A real treat and opportunity to see the evolution of wine from one of Yakima’s favorite wineries.
J. Bell Cellars – Check back to see what wines Wes will be pouring for J. Bell Cellars.
Kitzke Cellars – Winemaker, Seth Kitzke will be giving a vineyard tour of Candy Ridge Vineyard on Candy Mountain and explaining the different trellis systems implemented along with soils types of the proposed AVA in Yakima Valley. Tasting will include: library vertical of Cabernet (2011, 2012, 2013,), and 2015 co-ferment Bordeaux style blend.
Purple Star Wines & Muret-Gaston Wines at Purple Star Winery – Private seated tasting of 6 Muret-Gaston Wines led by our winemaker/owner Kyle Johnson and Cellar Master Dru Seed. Learn why we choose specific vineyards and viticultural processes and varietals.

Tanjuli WineryThe seated tastings will take place in the barrel room at our winery.
Winemaker Tom Campbell, a Wine Yakima Valley Founding Winemaker, will showcase a vertical tasting of his Tanjuli Winery Estate Carmenere starting with the 2012 and 2013 vintages followed by a prerelease sample of the 2014 and a barrel sample of the 2017 vintage. Bottles of the 2014 Estate Carmenere will be made available for sale to the participants. The tasting will be held in our barrel room at on our extra long antique dining table. Wit Cellars –Flint Nelson will be taking you through a vertical of Wit’s fabulous Cab Franc. Enjoy a vertical of the 2016, 2017, ad 2018 Cab Franc.
Yakima Valley Vintners – Yakima Valley Vintners student winemakers and staff will guide you through a vertical tasting of the Yakima Valley Vintners Primitivo. Tasting includes library wines, a barrel taste of the 2017 edition, at taste of the award winning 2015 Dean’s List Reserve Primitivo and a preview of the latest yet to be released 2016 vintage.
