Spring Barrel Tasting weekend is your chance to get a jump on tasting and purchasing some of the best wines in wine country. A visit to the Valley on this weekend will allow you to sample delicious, yet-unfinished wines from the barrel.

Purchase a PREMIER PASS allowing access to exclusive benefits available only during this Spring Barrel Tasting weekend at 40 participating wineries. PREMIER PASS holders will be able to experience a variety of specialty food pairings, library tastings, and tours not available to the public.

Passes purchased through April 18 will be shipped to you at the shipping address you provide during checkout beginning April 20.

Passes purchased after April 18 will be available for pick-up during the event weekend at the location selected during checkout.

ONLINE PREMIER PASS SALES END at 8:00am on APRIL 25.
Passes are available on site at the following locations:  Stems wine shop, Kana Winery, Treveri Cellars, Two Mountain Winery, Airfield Estates Winery, Terra Blanca Winery, Tapteil Vineyard Winery.

In addition to being available online, Premier Passes can also be purchased at Stems in Downtown Yakima (411 E. Yakima Ave.). On-site pass sales are $35, on-line sales are $30.

*PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN GLASS. Wineries cannot provide glasses during large event weekends.

$ Chandler Reach Winery –  

$ Cooper Wine Company – Featuring all Cooper wines for the weekend. Standard tasting fee is $15.00, Premier Pass holders will enjoy a reduced tasting fee on the Barrel Maker Series for $5.00, or all Cooper Wines for $10.00.

♥ Hightower Cellars – Spring is in the air and Hightower Cellars is ready to celebrate at Spring Barrel Tasting! Premier Pass holders and Hightower Wine Club Members will enjoy a complimentary tasting of our wines and delicious barrel samples from the 2016 vintage. This should be an exciting and educational pairing! Bring a picnic, get a bottle, and enjoy the stunning views from our giving garden and patio. For this weekend we will be open from 10:00am-5:00pm, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Our tasting fee that weekend will be $15.00. That fee is waived with the Premier Pass. Premier Pass holders will get the chance to taste from a couple of our racked barrels.

$ Kitzke Cellars – Premier Pass holders will receive 50% off the $10.00 tasting fee.

$Purple Star Winery – Join us as we compare 2016 Columbia Valley Cabernet being aged in our Nomblot Concrete tank verses French Oak Barrels.  Premier Pass holders will receive the benefits of the comparative tasting, discussion with the winemaking team and the chance to create their own blend to take home.  Tasting fee of $10 completely refundable with purchase and Premier Pass-holders receive a 10% discount on all wine purchases. Our wineclub members can stack their benefits!  Cheese plates available to purchase and picnics encouraged!

Tapteil Vineyard Winery – Enjoy sampling from the barrel and showing the effect of oak aging on wine. Take in the sweeping panoramic view of Red Mountain and the Yakima River valley from the terrace. Bring a camera and a picnic. Taste current releases and sample gourmet olive oils and balsamic vinegars. ON-SITE PASS SALES AVAILABLE

$ Terra Blanca Winery – Spring Barrel at Terra Blanca will have something for everyone this year! Premier Pass holders will enjoy 50% off the $10 tasting fee as well as a special offer of 20% off purchases of 3 bottles or more! Mount Townsend Creamery and Three Rivers Gourmet will be here with a variety of tasty samples and the extended wine list for the weekend will feature a wide array of wines that will be sure to please any palate. The Terra Blanca Vineyard Grill will be open for lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday with service beginning at noon. Terra Blanca is the ultimate Spring Barrel venue for food and wine with plenty of options. ♥ 14 Hands – Celebrate Spring Barrel with wine tasting at 14 Hands.  $7 tasting fee includes a stemless 14 Hands logo glass.  Tasting fees will be waived for premier pass holders.  Enjoy our Reserve wines and sample delicious yet-unfinished Mourvedre from the barrel.  On Saturday, 4/28, nachos will be available for purchase from 11am-4pm.  Last call is 4:30pm on Saturday, 4/28.  Tour buses by appointment only please. 21 and over.

$ Airfield Estates – Visit us for a sneak peek of our 2016 Mustang straight from the barrel and visit with our winemaking team! Premier Pass holders will receive $2 off admission and a complimentary pair of Aviator sunglasses upon entry, and as an added bonus, Premier Pass holders will also receive wine club benefits (20% off wine on purchases of 4 bottles or more, 15% off merchandise) all weekend long! Open 10AM-6PM, Friday-Sunday.  ON-SITE PASS SALES AVAILABLE

♥ Barrel Springs Winery – The wine thief will be ready for you to taste Tempranillo straight out of the barrel. Enjoy a special Library Wine Tasting as a Premier Pass holders. Several estate grown wines will be paired with artisan cheeses. Prosser’s “Neighbors BBQ”, specializing in Texas style BBQ, will be on-site Saturday to add some spice to the day! $5 tasting fee per person waived for Premier Pass holders and Barrel Springs Wine Club Members. Hours 10-5pm.

$ Fortuity Cellars –  Premier Pass Holders offering: Special $5 wine tasting ($10 for non Premier Pass holders), waived with any bottle purchase. Plus, a side-by-side tasting of our Heart of the Hill Cabernet Sauvignon (2016 and 2017 – barrel sample) with winemaker Johnny Brose.

Maison de Padgett Winery – Here we are again! Barrel Tasting 2018. Live Band Saturday the 28th 12:00 to 4:00pm. We will be ready both weekends with a new batch of reds. Lipservice Rose 1.5L $16.95 or (3 for $35.00), and a very tasty Semi Sweet called UNZIPPED $14.95$ EACH or 6 for $66.00! On Saturday April 28th come hungry, we will have again our local FOOD TRUCK on site for our afternoon snackin’. The Yakima Valley Premier Passport holders receive complimentary tasting of all our wines ($10.00 value) for both weekends. Remember to bring your Maison de Padgett-Horizon’s Edge punch card and continue to receive the special benefits. Bags of Popcorn ($3.00) will be for sale to support Carlin Padgett’s 10th grade June 2019 school trip to Washington D.C., as will be his wine barrel stave candle holders.

Masset Winery – 

$ Paradisos del Sol Winery – We at Paradisos are passionate about making barrel tasting an educational experience. Paul, the Man in the Wild Pants, comes up with a different presentation every year, and he has been doing this for over 30 years! This year we will learn about Barrels vs. Tanks. After the micro-mini seminar, we offer a micro-mini 9-course winemaker tasting, 9 teensy tiny bites of food to go with our 9 different wines. Sip, Sip, Bite, Sip! The renowned Lupe, Reyna de la Cocina of Lupe’s Kitchen in Toppenish, will have her fabulous tamales available on Saturday the 28th. Our $10 tasting fee is applied towards a purchase of at least $20. 20% of every tasting fee paid is donated to the Yakima Humane Society. Passport and Premier Pass holders receive 10% off your purchase of 2 or more bottles and 20% or 50% off case purchase on selected wines. We have 2 wines that are under $85 a case. For Spring Barrel Tasting, groups of 8 or more will be turned away if they don’t have a reservation. Come Taste Paradise!

Silver Lake Winery   is the place to be for Spring Barrel Weekend. The biggest BYOG (bring your own glass) event of the year!
Friday: Sample two barrel samples and lunch from Kim’s Got Smoke! Live Music Saturday and Sunday Rock Garden  Food from Kim’s Got Smoke, Glondo’s Sausage Co. & Italian Market, each will each be paired with a barrel sample.  We will also have local vendors for your shopping needs: LuLa Roe, Origami Owl, Party Light and more! General admission $10 – Tasting room samples and barrel samples

♥ Tanjuli Winery – Tanjuli Winery’s tasting fee is waived for Premier Pass holders. Visitors will also be treated to a barrel sample of our Estate Aglianinco Sangratino, a blend of two dynamic Italian grapes that explode with flavor. We will also have all our estate vineyard wines available for tasting. New releases of Picpoul Blanc, Viognier, Orange Muscat. For red wine lovers will be serving Pinot Noir, Carmenere, Nebbiolo and the new release of our Black Muscat Port. Flying Pig BBQ will be onsite from 12-5pm Saturday and Sunday. Tasting fee waived for Premier Pass holders.

Gilbert Cellars/JB Neufeld Winery – 4/28- 4/29 Taste the breadth of Washington Wine at Gilbert Cellars winery in Yakima. Against the picturesque backdrop at The Hackett Ranch, winemaker, Justin Neufeld will take you through vertical tastings of both Gilbert Cellars and JB Neufeld wines. Taste Gilbert Cellars’ award winning 2012 and 2013 vintages and the unreleased 2014 vintage of Reserve No. 2. Enjoy a vertical tasting of JB Neufeld’s 2012, 2013 and 2014 Old Goat Cabernet Sauvignon. This weekend only, both 2014 Reserve No. 2 and 2014 Old Goat will be available for pre- purchase! Wine club members may taste at no additional cost. Tastings begin at 10am, Noon, and 2pm. ♥ Kana Winery – located in the Historic Larson Building in downtown Yakima, is featuring barrel samples of all of it’s highly anticipated 2014 reds, 4 in all, that can be purchased by the case  as futures, at 30% off, mix or match, including magnums. They will also be featuring current releases of their lineup of 7 wines at daily revolving discounts. Event hours 10-5. Live music Friday and Saturday nights 5-10PM. ON-SITE PASS SALES 

♥ Owen Roe – It looks like good weather is upon us here in the Yakima Valley, and just in time for Spring Barrel Tasting!  Stop by Owen Roe for some delicious wine and food brought to you by The Red Pickle, a food truck coming from Ellensburg, Washington both Saturday and Sunday.  Our tasting flight will be included with the premier pass, food will be sold separately.  If you do not have a premier pass there will be a $10 dollar tasting fee, nonrefundable.  We can’t wait to see you!

Treveri Cellars – ON-SITE PASS SALES 

♥ Wilridge Winery & Vineyard tasting room will be offering wine barrel samples in our new distillery during Spring Barrel.  Bottle samples will be served in the Farmhouse, which is amongst the vineyards and orchards.  Wilridge will be waiving fees for all Premier Pass holders.  We will have music by Ben Johnson of Shoot Jake, 2-5 pm Saturday and Sunday.  Flying Pig will be providing outstanding barbecue from 12-5 on Saturday and Sunday.   We will be open 11-6.
