Reserve your seat at Winemakers’ Table during Spring Barrel Tasting

Yakima Valley’s newest event offers an intimate tasting with your favorite winemaker.  Enjoy an exclusive vertical tasting of library wines, current vintages and barrel samples from your favorite winery during Spring Barrel Tasting, April 28, 29, 2018.

This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy Yakima Valley’s Spring Barrel Tasting festivities without the crowds. Eight winemakers are opening their tasting rooms exclusively to Winemaker’s Table guests showcasing a vertical of their best wines.  Learn the history, nuances, and stories of each wine in an intimate seated tasting.

In addition to these smaller more intimate tasting experiences, your Winemaker’s Table ticket will be honored as a Premier Pass to all participating wineries for the duration of the event weekend.

Wineries will hold regular seated tastings and welcome you upon arrival. Feel free to set your itinerary and show up at the top of the hour, or, make reservations by contacting the winery directly.

Winemaker’s Table Seating times:
Saturday April 28, 2018: Hourly between 11:00am – 4:00pm
Sunday April 29, 2018: Hourly between 11:00am – 4:00pm
Tickets are limited and will likely sell out.
Weekend tickets $75.00 per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Participating wineries:

Co Dinn Cellars – Winemaker and owner Co Dinn will feature a vertical tasting of the Lonesome Spring Ranch GSM 2014-2017 including 2017 barrel samples. Wine Club members welcome at no cost to this experience. If you want to make a reservation, contact Co at 509 840 2314.

Cote Bônneville Winery – Winemaker Kerry Shiels will be showcasing Cote Bônneville Syrah.  The vertical tasting includes: a barrel sample, and samples from a current release and a bottle from the Côte Bonneville wine library.  Wine Club members are welcome to participate at no additional cost. Gilbert Cellars/JB Neufeld Winery – Taste the breadth of Washington Wine at Gilbert Cellars winery in Yakima. Against the picturesque backdrop at The Hackett Ranch, winemaker, Justin Neufeld will take you through vertical tastings of both Gilbert Cellars and JB Neufeld wines. Taste Gilbert Cellars’ award winning 2012 and 2013 vintages and the unreleased 2014 vintage of Reserve No. 2. Enjoy a vertical tasting of JB Neufeld’s 2012, 2013 and 2014 Old Goat Cabernet Sauvignon. This weekend only, both 2014 Reserve No. 2 and 2014 Old Goat will be available for pre- purchase! Wine club members may taste at no additional cost. Tastings begin at 10am, Noon, and 2pm. Reservations encouraged. Winemaker’s Table will be held at Hackett Ranch 2620 Draper Rd, Yakima, WA 98903.

J. Bell Cellars – Winemaker Wes Teslo will be showcase the Sunridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Vertical tasting will include two library vintages, a current release, and a barrel sample.  Complimentary to J.BELL Club Members!  This tasting experience will be held at J. Bell Cellars production facility located at: 260 Bonair Rd Zillah WA 98953. Reservations, call (509) 865-1935.

Wilridge Winery – Wilridge Winemakers Paul Beveridge and Dennis Grace will present a “horizontal” tasting of their Estate Vineyard red wines from the outstanding 2014 vintage.  The wines will be served around the dining table in the recently completed new winery on Naches Heights and will feature Estate Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Syrah/Mourvedre, Melange Noir (Bordeaux Blend) and Port.  Participants will also taste Estate brandy from Wilridge’s new alembic pot still and are welcome to tour the Estate Vineyard with glass in hand.

Wit Cellars – Head Winemaker Flint Nelson and winemaker Cat Warwick will lead you through a vertical tasting of Wit Cellars Cab Franc.  2017-2016-2015 Cab Franc From Olsen Brothers Vineyard. You get all three years! Taste out of the barrel – two of Wit Cellars newest vintages of Cab Franc from Olsen Brothers Vineyard.  The 2015 vintage will be newly released and sampled. Don’t be surprised if Flint brings out a surprise or two.  In addition to great company, excellent wine, you will enjoy lite bites while you taste.  Tasting will be held in Wit Cellars new barrel room. If you want to make a reservation, contact the winery at 509 786 1311.

Yakima Valley Vintners  – Our student winemakers and staff will guide you through a vertical tasting of the Yakima valley Vintners Primitivo. This Italian grape has given our student winemakers the opportunity to hand-craft this wine into their most awarded varietal over the past ten years. We will start with award winning library tastings from the past vintages and travel through time to a barrel taste of the 2016 edition. All ending with a preview of our latest Dean’s List Reserve Primitivo along with an exclusive opportunity to purchase this yet-to-be-released 2015 vintage.
