02 Sep September Winery Spotlight: Masset Winery
Masset Winery is a family winery specializing in rich red wines with a special emphasis on Syrah and Petit Sirah (and sometimes a blend of both) In addition, we produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, blended red wines including our everyday style wine, le Petit Rouge, and Reserve style blends such as Sandra Jean and les Vignes de Marcoux Red Wine. A crisp unoaked Chardonnay and late harvest wines are made in select vintages.
The tasting room is nestled in a 1905 farmhouse surrounded by orchards of pears, cherries and apples. While visiting the farmhouse you will also want to try the cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and reserve blends. Owner/winemaker Greg Masset also runs the kitchen at the Yakima Country Club and utilizes his craft of both cooking and winemaking to produce exquisite food-friendly wines.
